Mark Housel at L&M Precision is a artist and well known for his slide work to include cutting slides for red dot optics, I first saw some of his work on one of the forums and knew I had to get him out a slide. I selected a FDE Glock 17 for him to work on because it is one of my favorite platforms to train with and is relatively cheap. I had a Trijicon RMR RM01 on hand so I sent it along with my complete upper so there was no FFL involved. The work I asked for was as follows:
- Cut the slide for the RMR
- Suppressor sights in front of the RMR "this was so it would work with the holster Im using"
- Ceracote the slide coyote
- Add front and top cocking serrations
Turn around time door to door was roughly 10 days and I was super excited about the work he did. Everything looks great. I would highly recommend Mark for anyone looking to get a RMR installed on a sidearm. He can pretty much do any pistol you have.
